Fujitsu of Japan has decided to set up a radio frequency identification R&D center in Taiwan in October this year to introduce Fujitsu’s latest technologies and solutions to local private makers.
Fujitsu Taiwan general manager Kevin Liu told local media that many local logistic, manufacturing and medical-device companies have been actively contacting Fujitsu for developing cooperation ties.
Fujitsu recently held a RFID application forum in Taiwan, introducing the latest RFID application samples in logistic, manufacturing, transportation lines to local companies.
A ranking official of Fujitsu Taiwan pointed out Fujitsu would introduce latest RFID technologies, professional talents and related systems to the island so as to cooperate with local companies to jointly develop localized business RFID applications. He stressed that the RFID applications are closely related to a nation’s culture and environment conditions, and close cooperation between the technology provider and regional partners counts most in the regard.
According to Liu, a photo-mask maker requires frequent exchanging processes during manufacturing. With the advantage of strong data-tracking and management ability, RFID solutions can meet the requirement.
Liu expects Fujitsu’s RFID technologies and Taiwan information technology (IT) maker’s strong R&D and innovation capabilities can be integrated to create unlimited business opportunities in various fields. In addition, locally developed RFID application products are expected to be marketed worldwide through Fujitsu’s global sales network, especially in Taiwan, China and the entire Asian region.
