China GrenTech announced that it has been formally selected to become an official supplier of base station RF products to Huawei Technologies.

China GrenTech is now a qualified RF products supplier to five large- scale base station equipments manufacturers in China and overseas, laying a solid foundation for future growth in the Company’s base station RF business.

RF products are a key outsourced component of base stations. Since 2006, China GrenTech has been expanding its cooperation with large communication equipments manufacturers to develop sophisticated base station RF products. Currently, China GrenTech has been selected as a qualified supplier of base station RF products for four large base station manufacturers in China as well as one international telecommunication equipments manufacturer, and won several bids as the OEM of RF products for these base station manufacturers.

“RF technology is the core technology in wireless communications and, on the back of our proprietary technology, we expect to capitalize on the growth in this sector” said Yingjie Gao, China GrenTech Chairman and CEO.
